Back to Athens 2004 on matthewmayer.co.uk
Sorry, all berths in the yacht have now been sold.
If you're attending the Olympic Games in Athens during August 2004, you'll know it's very hard to find accommodation. Campsites are booked up, youth hostels are charging over £100 a night and hotels even more. Here's an opportunity to get guaranteed accomodation now at a bargain price.
We are Matthew Mayer and Andrew Flower, students at Downing College, Cambridge and we have hired a yacht sleeping four people for the Olympic period 11th August to 26th August. The yacht will be moored at the high-quality Lavrion marina, very close to Athens airport and about 45 minutes bus ride from central Athens.
The yacht is a 34-foot Elan, see below for further specifications. We'll be leaving the boat in port as a 'floating hotel', so you certainly don't need any sailing experience!
We are looking for two more people to stay on the boat, sharing the cost with us. If two people wanted to stay for the full fifteen nights, that would be €800 each, about £533. That's just €53/£36 per night, far cheaper than you will find anywhere else. Even if you're not staying for that long, or if you have a different number of people, please do get in touch and we may be able to fix you a great deal.
There are only two berths available. Contact us as soon as possible to guarantee your place. Email us now on mem39@cam.ac.uk
