I had met Sherry three months earlier whilst falling for her over a pile of blueberry pancakes. This being a modern relationship we measured time from when I changed my Facebook status from "its complicated" to "in a relationship". Unfortunately I was about to throw a spanner in the works of our relationship by disappearing for three months to Southeast Asia.

I had my flight tickets to Kuala Lumpur in hand. Sherry had given me a bottle of Immodium anti-diarrhoea tablets. I was all set.
